When I first met Lauren and Justin and took their engagement photos it was immediately apparent that they are the sweetest, most authentic, down-to-earth couple. They excitedly shared with me their plans for a classic and elegant late summer wedding and I couldn't wait to capture the day at the Santa Barbara Yacht Club.
Beautiful Pastel Color Theme
I started the day by capturing Lauren and her bridesmaids getting their hair and makeup done. They all looked beautiful with their matching lavender silk robes. The bridesmaids had so many laughs while getting ready and doting over Lauren.
Lauren's gown was a gorgeous strapless aline dress with a detailed jeweled bodice on the top. It was a perfect complement to the day and the bridesmaid dresses. The pastel color theme was carried through with the lavender bridesmaid dresses and the summer florals. Everything tied together so nicely!
Justin and Lauren had a beautiful trolly for the day to get from place to place! Lauren and Justin opted to spend time ahead of the ceremony to do a first look, read private vows to each other, and take lots of bridal party photos. We went to the nearby __Santa Barbara Courthouse____ for the beautiful lofty arches and architecture in the background. We had a little bit of downtime to hang out on the trolley before the ceremony. It gave everyone a chance to breathe and relax and of course, take some great photos!
Wedding with Beautiful Waterfront Views
The couple chose a beautiful outdoor space to hold their ceremony at the Santa Barbara City College Winslow Overlook. This unique ceremony space has gorgeous panoramic views of the city, the mountains, and the harbor. The large circular grassy space was surrounded by chairs for their guests and was a perfect place to tie the knot! I loved watching Lauren as she walked down the aisle with both of her parents. She was beaming!
After the ceremony, guests then enjoyed cocktail hour on the porch at the Santa Barbara Yacht Club. This venue is so gorgeous! I stole Justin and Lauren away for a bit to take photos around the club and it was so much fun! The lighting was as gorgeous . We went from the beach to the harbor, and marina to get so many great portraits!
The couple and their guests then enjoyed a great meal & open dancing. I had so much fun capturing so many different types of photos around Santa Barbara! Congratulations and best wishes to the happy couple!
