Sabrina and Jarrod's wedding day was filled with special traditions and loving family and friends! Sabrina comes from a Polish family, so it was important for them to incorporate Polish traditions into their wedding day. Many family members even traveled from Poland to attend their wedding!
Old Mission Santa Barbara Wedding Ceremony
We started the day with portraits at the Santa Barbara Courthouse for Sabrina and Jarrod's first look. They were thrilled to finally see each other and so excited to become husband and wife! The ceremony wasn't until later in the evening, so we had plenty of time to wander around the courthouse and enjoy the beautiful architecture and landscape while taking formal portraits and family photos in the daylight.
As the ceremony time approached we traveled over to Old Mission Santa Barbara to capture a few more photos of the bride and groom. Old Mission is a gorgeous church! It was the perfect location for their traditional Catholic ceremony. Sabrina and Jarrod planned a grand exit from the church with tons of streamers. It even up being so many streamers that they both got tangled up in it! It made for some good laughs and a great memory!
Villa & Vine Courtyard Reception
After the ceremony, everyone traveled to Villa & Vine for the reception in the heart of downtown Santa Barbara. This venue is absolutely gorgeous! It is the perfect mix of a villa and garden courtyard with crawling ivy, olive trees, a fountain, and a fireplace. It is so romantic!
As the couple arrived, we saw that the theater marque had their names on it! So naturally, we had to take some photos in front of it!
When Sabrina and Jarrod arrived at the reception, they were welcomed by their parents with bread and salt and two shots of vodka. In Polish tradition, important guests have to drink the vodka in one gulp and throw the shot glass behind their back. If the glasses are broken, it means they leave together and have a long and happy marriage. When Sabrina and Jarrod threw the shot glasses they broke! They enjoyed a lovely dinner in the courtyard with all of their guests. Congratulations to a wonderful couple!
