Christina and Zach had a casual, elegant wedding at the Rockwood Women's Club in Santa Barbara, California. The gorgeous tall Oak trees throughout the property provide a gorgeous setting for their fall outdoor ceremony and reception.
The Couple's Love Story
Christina and Zach both grew up in Lompoc, CA, and met around their senior year in high school back in 2005. They actually did not date right away but kept in touch when Zach moved to LA for college and then joined the Coast Guard for 10 months after. Despite being long-distance, they still continued their friendship.
It wasn't until 2016 that Christina and Zach both ended up living in Santa Barbara. They had not lived within 1-hour distance of each other since back in 2005! They both knew it was fate! They met for pizza and sparks reignited between the two. The couple finally made it official and started dating.
They dated for another 3 years and he eventually proposed during a long walk at a nature preserve in Cambria - an impromptu weekend trip that Christina had actually planned, but then he capitalized on the opportunity!
Fall Wedding at Rockwood Women's Club
This Rockwood Women's Club venue is located within the beautiful Mission Canyon neighborhood of Santa Barbara, next door to San Roque Park & Mission Creek. Christina and Zach wanted a simple, gorgeous autumn wedding to celebrate with their closest family and friends.
We started the day by capturing getting ready photos of Christina while she was having her hair and makeup finished and getting her dress on. I love to capture all the close-up details of the day! The couple then opted for a first look before their ceremony. They were both beaming when they finally saw each other for the first time! The lighting was absolutely gorgeous on this warm October day while we took lots of portraits on the beautiful grounds. They were both ready to be married!
All of the ceremony and reception decor had subtle touches of fall colors - perfect for an October Santa Barbara wedding. Christina had a bridal bouquet filled with various types of flowers that were white with rustic red, orange, and pink. The flowers on the arbor and in the centerpieces from PacWest Blooms were so well thought out to match and compliment the gorgeous scenery.
Christina and Zach are such a sweet couple. They had a wonderful day celebrating their marriage with their family and friends!
